Tasting - Monsalaia

Name: Monsalaia
Variety: Cabernet, Merlot, Sangiovese
Region: Tuscany
Country: Italy
Year: 2011
Price: $10

Winery Review: This simple blend of 50% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of dried black cherry, vanilla and a whiff of coconut. The round, soft palate shows mature black fruit and coffee alongside ripe tannins. - Wine Enthusiast

My Review: This great wine from Tuscany has a range of aromas, from fruity to a hint of coffee beans. Overall, the wine is strong in taste. It is dry and acidic, and it doesn't have any residual sugar. However, there is a little fruity flavor of dark berries.

I did not consume any food with this wine.
